Faisal W. Taha, P.E., CEM, EBCP
Senior Associate
Mr. Taha oversees many L+M’s energy related projects and is responsible for all of its New York City energy code compliance projects including energy benchmarking reports and the energy audits. He brings experience in the design and layout of electrical distribution and lighting systems in residential, commercial, and institutional buildings. Mr. Taha also has experience in different computer systems networking, having previously worked for IBM as a hardware engineer. He joined the firm in 2007.
Projects
Mr. Taha performs complete energy benchmarking for residential and commercial buildings to comply with the new NYC Local Law #84. The process includes obtaining and reviewing all energy data for the building to evaluate energy consumption. Representative projects include the following multi-family residences: 3215 Arlington Avenue, 2287 Johnson Avenue, 2530 Independence Avenue, 2727 Palisade Avenue, and 3015-3017 Riverdale Avenue, all of which are in The Bronx, NY.
He undertakes full energy audits for residential and commercial buildings to comply with the new NYC Local Law #87. Representative multi-family buildings include 2550 Independence Avenue, 2727 Palisade Avenue, 3777 Independence Avenue, 3656 Johnson Avenue, 640 West 231st St, and 3901 Independence Avenue, all of which are in The Bronx, NY.
Mr. Taha also designs new main service switchboards, distribution panels, meter banks, and public light and power distribution panels for multifamily buildings in New York City. Representative projects include 19 East 72nd Street, 10 East 70th Street, 1481 5th Avenue, 239 Central Park West and 315 East 68th Street, all in Manhattan.
Education and Organizations
Mr. Taha’s degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Hardware Engineering and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from SUNY at New Paltz. He is a Certified Energy Manager, State of New York.
